The 2023 Renegade takes inspiration from Jeep’s lineup of fun vehicles that offer open-air freedom. As such, each trim level offers two segment-exclusive “My Sky” open-air roof systems. One is manually operated and removable, while the other has a power-tilt/slide feature and is also removable.
The standard infotainment system uses a 5.0-inch touch-screen display with the Uconnect 5.0 operating system (OS). Higher models have a 6.5-inch touch-screen display with the Uconnect 6.0 OS.
Standard on all trim levels is a 7-inch full-color instrument cluster display.
Unlike most Jeep models, designers of the Renegade kept city-sized dimensions in mind during the production of the 2023 model year. The result is a rugged yet functional body that is versatile, maneuverable, and stylish.
Halogen automatic headlamps are standard. It has daytime running lamps, cornering front fog lamps, incandescent taillamps, and roof rails. 17-inch wheels are standard, but higher trim levels get 18-inch and 19-inch wheels as part of a package.
Available exterior equipment is LED lighting, skid plates, and tow hooks. Various other accouterments are included in the different packages – Altitude, Convenience, High Altitude, Latitude Premium, Limited Elite, Premium Lighting, Trailhawk Elite, Red Edition, Sun and Sound, and Trailer Tow.

The 2023 Renegade has one of the best powertrain options in the small SUV segment. It shows Jeep’s commitment to providing customers with a wide array of choices in terms of payload and towing capacity.
The standard engine is a 1.3-liter direct-injection turbocharged powertrain that makes 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. It sends drive to the 4×4 or 4×2 layout using a segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission.
Other powertrain options include small displacement engines ranging from 1.0 liter to 1.8 liters, a plug-in hybrid, two diesel MultiJet power plants, and two Tigershark engines that can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
