The RAM 3500 had three available engine options. The base engine is a powerful 410-horsepower 6.4-liter V8 that makes 429 pound-feet of torque The first option is paired with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are both available. The second engine is a 370-horsepower diesel engine that makes 850 pound-feet of torque. The third and most powerful engine available in the RAM 3500 is a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel inline-six that generates 400-horsepower and an amazing 1075 pound-feet of torque. Both diesel engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. With a powerful engine under the hood, the 2022 RAM 3500 can tow up to 37,090 pounds.
The 2022 F-350 also has three engine options. The standard engine is a 385-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 that makes 430 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. A 430-horsepower 7.3-liter V8 makes 475 pound-feet of torque. The third option and the only diesel option in the lineup is a 475 6.7-liter V8 that makes 1050 pound-feet of torque. All F-350 trims are available in rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The maximum towing capacity of the F-350 is 37,000 pounds which comes in a little under the RAM 3500’s max capacity.
In both trucks, the interior features vary across trim levels. The Ford F-350 has ergonomic seats and a sharply designed dashboard. Upper trim levels have available leather-trimmed seats. The RAM 3500 has luxury and comfort perfected. Available are premium 100% leather seats with southwestern details like filigree stitching and mountain-brown leather. The cabin has an available active noise canceling system as well. The seats are heated and ventilated for comfort in all-weather situations.






Adding modern technology to these monster haulers makes them even more appealing. The Ford F-350 has an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto, and available W-Fi hotspot and wireless device charging.
The RAM 3500 features an 8-inch touch screen or an available larger, well-placed 12-inch touch screen that also has Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto, wireless charging, and a 4g LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. It also features RAM’s intuitive Uconnect system that allows drivers to control certain features from their smartphones. A Harmon Kardon sound system with 17-speakers creates a surround sound experience is also available.
