It takes a lot for a truck to stand out among its competitors, and that goes double for members of the heavy-duty class. When manufacturers dedicate serious research and development into designing hard-working hauling and towing machines, the class leaders must reinforce their jobsite value with smart tech and a high-quality ride. That’s why the RAM 2500 balances its impressive capability with advanced tech for driver assistance and entertainment as well as a high-end cabin.
For the 2020 year model, RAM has made several updates to the truck’s safety and functionality. Lane Keep Assist is now available across the trim range, and you can equip your pickup with a trailer tire-pressure-monitoring system to take the guesswork out of trailer care. Crew Cab builds with the 8-foot truck bed can also be loaded with a 50-gallon tank, and the upper trims are now available in the eye-catching Night Edition.
We have the RAM 2500 ready and waiting for you here at Jay Hodge Hugo, so come see us whenever you would like to take a closer look. Our RAM experts can show you all there is to see in this capable pickup, and you’ll get to experience its impressive performance with a test drive.
The RAM 2500’s chrome, ribbed grille and bold, broad frame communicate its raw power at a glance. If you opt for the Big Horn or Laramie trims, you can opt for the imposing Night Edition, which comes with a monochromatic color scheme, black badging, and 20-inch black wheels. The 2020 model is available in these colors:
The RAM 2500 promises a cabin for whatever look and functionality you’re interested in. If you want a dressed-down workhorse that provides a comfortable ride, you’ll find that even in the starting trim. If you want to complement the truck’s premium power with deluxe style and features, upper trims like the Longhorn come stocked with upscale perks like fine leather upholstery, gold trim, and striped wood accents throughout. Whenever you need office space on the go, the RAM’s cabin accommodates with comfortable seating and a wide center console with plenty of room to set up your laptop. All cab styles offer abundant legroom for you and your crew, and the expansive Mega Cab provides an unrivaled amount of back-row space within the class.
RAM offers two engines for whatever you need to accomplish, starting with the standard 410-horsepower V8, that delivers 429 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is mated to a eight-speed automatic transmission that handles gear shifting duties with ease. Elsewhere in the trim range, you can opt for the Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six engine that puts out 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. When fully equipped for the work, the RAM 2500 can tow up to 16,870 pounds and haul 3240 pounds. Despite the heavy-duty truck’s large size, steering and braking are both reassuringly responsive, and the pickup has no trouble getting up to speed to merge onto the highway.
The RAM’s infotainment system is accessed via 8-inch touchscreen, while a 12-inch version is also available. With either screen, you’ll enjoy easy control over a convenient selection of available tech tools and features:
In 2020, RAM now offers Lanesense technology for their HD truck, equipping it with lane keep assist and lane departure warning. A variety of other driver assistance systems are also available:
